WORK WITH 5R

Build the shared
sense of “us” that makes
leadership possible.

We work with organisations large and small to determine the right starting point. This may involve developing a cohort of leaders, working directly with an intact team, building internal facilitation capability or establishing locally embedded delivery.

ORGANISATIONS AND TEAMS

Develop leadership where it is practised:
with groups.

5R can be configured for a cohort of leaders or used directly with an intact leadership team or established work group. In both forms, development extends beyond individual knowledge: participants work with real groups and learn from what happens in practice.

The scope, rhythm and support can be adapted for organisations large and small, while the coherent framework and its group-based application remain consistent.

DEVELOP CAPABILITY ACROSS THE ORGANISATION

Leadership cohorts

Leaders learn together, then apply structured 5R activities with groups they lead, support or work alongside. Experience returns to the cohort for reflection and refinement.

WELL SUITED TO

  • Cross-functional or multi-level cohorts
  • A shared identity leadership language
  • Application between programme days
  • Capability building across roles and levels

IMPLEMENTATION AT SCALE

Multi-cohort delivery is informed by SIMoLDI, a peer-reviewed, theory-informed model for aligning leadership development with an organisation’s identity and anchoring it in practice.

WORK DIRECTLY WITH THE GROUP

Intact teams

The group becomes both the context and the focus of development. Members work together to understand who “we” are, clarify what “we” stand for and translate shared identity into collective priorities and action.

WELL SUITED TO

  • Senior and executive leadership teams
  • Functional and cross-functional groups
  • Teams navigating growth, change or fragmentation
  • Shared purpose and coordinated action

DIAGNOSIS BEFORE DELIVERY

For intact teams, we recommend a diagnostic and discovery process before delivery. This helps surface the needs and priorities shared by group members, assess fit and configure the work around the group’s context.

OPTIONAL LEARNING SUPPORT

Continue the work between programme days.

Where useful, one-to-one identity leadership coaching or small-group reflective practice can help participants make sense of experience, work through live challenges and refine their practice. This support complements rather than replaces structured work with the group.

EXTEND 5R

Build capability.
Protect what makes 5R work.

5R can be embedded through accredited facilitators and carefully developed delivery partnerships. Both pathways extend access while maintaining theoretical integrity, facilitation quality and a shared commitment to evaluation and learning.

Synact holds UQ’s worldwide exclusive licence to deliver 5R and is the only organisation authorised to accredit 5R facilitators.

Become an accredited 5R facilitator.

A supported pathway for experienced practitioners who want to deliver 5R within their organisation or professional practice. Accreditation begins by experiencing the complete programme and applying it with a group you lead.

  1. 1
    Experience

Complete the 5R programme and apply the framework with a group.

  2. 2
    Develop

Deepen theoretical, process and facilitation knowledge.

  3. 3
    Practise

Undertake a delivery within 12 months with supervision, feedback and reflective support.

  4. 4
    Demonstrate

Show the required capability and fidelity in practice.

  5. 5
    Continue

Participate in ongoing learning, quality assurance and evidence building.

Eligibility, supervision and accreditation requirements are confirmed before enrolment.

Express interest in accreditation

Establish locally embedded delivery.

We welcome conversations with organisations that can help make 5R accessible in their country or region while protecting the quality and integrity of the programme.

PARTNERSHIPS MAY SUIT

  • Universities and research centres
  • Professional bodies
  • Established leadership consultancies
  • Organisations seeking locally embedded capability

PARTNERSHIPS ARE DESIGNED TO PROTECT

  • Scientific integrity
  • Facilitation quality
  • Contextual relevance
  • Responsible claims
  • Evaluation and learning
  • Licensed programme integrity

THE DISTINCTION

Individual capability.
Organisational stewardship.

Accreditation recognises an individual facilitator’s capability to deliver 5R under agreed conditions. A delivery partnership is a broader organisational relationship for developing and stewarding delivery in a particular context.

NEXT STEP

Begin with
your context.

Tell us about the group, organisation or delivery context you are working with. We can help determine whether 5R is the right fit and which pathway makes sense.
